The Hafford Fire Department is always looking for volunteer firefighters, anyone aged 18 years or older is eligible to join the ranks. Volunteering as a firefighter will improve your skills in emergency response, you will gain invaluable teamwork experience, and most importantly, you will get a great sense of personal fulfilment knowing that you are helping to protect your community.

- Attending fire calls is very challenging, both mentally and physically.
- On-going training session are mandatory and require a personal commitment and some sacrifices to ensure you are educated and prepared for what you will encounter. The community at large should expect well trained firefighters to attend emergencies.
- Volunteer Firefighters are expected to participate in community awareness programs when required and to help promote fire safety.
